Y-Scoop Childcare Program 2009 ~ 2010 Program Guide


A Program To Meet Your Needs

YMCA is the largest childcare provider in the United States. The Greater Newburgh YMCA has been operating our award winning Y-SCOOP Programs since 1990. We stress the YMCA core values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility. Our well-trained, experienced staff provides quality childcare in a happy, safe school environment ~ with a staff to child ratio of 1:10. The monthly fees listed below are based on the number of days enrolled per week, with a minimum of two days enrollment. Rates effective September 2009.

  • AM programs offered in Berea and Montgomery Elementary Schools only from 7:30 AM to start of school.
    AM programs offered in Fishkill Plains, Gayhead and Vassar Road starting at 7 AM.
  • PM programs operate in all five districts between school dismissal and 6 PM (pick-up by 6 PM).
  • Programs offer: snack time, homework time, games & activities, arts & crafts, and recreation/ playtime.
  • An annual membership/registration fee of $55 is charged for each child that enrolls in the program, at the time of registration. Tuition discounts are available at the rates of 10% for the second child and 15% for the third child from the same family.
  • Holiday Camp is offered at Camp Robbins, for additional cost, during most scheduled school holidays.
  • Partial scholarships are available. Funding is limited on a first-come, first-served basis and is based on total family income and number of household members.

  • Parents must notify child's school upon starting the program.
  • Parents must make transportation arrangements to Y-Scoop programs from other schools prior to registering.
  • All paperwork must be submitted 3 days prior to your child attending our program.
  • Y-SCOOP is licensed by the Childcare Council. If you wish to review the regulations concerning school-age childcare programs, a copy is available at the site or contact our main office.
  • Greater Newburgh YMCA Y-SCOOP Programs are rated above the national average according to Seer Analytics, LLC.
